Preserving biodiversity, Building community, Having fun
Coming from a permaculture background and having studied with the indigenous kaqchikel people in San Lucas Tolimán, Guatemala, we understood how seed saving and seed perservation can stand at the heart of community. We founded our seedbank in the beginning of 2024 with aims to share this knowledge, connect with nature around us and make our urban streets/homes a greener more inviting place for all life to thrive (humans and plant/animal biodiversity alike).
Everyone in our community is free to request seeds (within availability). We’re aiming for a circular economy. Lots of our seeds have been collected from our previous growing season. We hope that you can grow your own plants, let them go to seed, save the seeds and then share them with the community.
This is an amazing practice to do as an adult as well as to start teaching our young.
We don’t have capacity to ship seeds anywhere. The point of permaculture is to keep things local. If you’re not Islington based, we recommend Real Seeds. Real seeds is reliable and they also teach you how to save your own seeds once your plant has grown.
We welcome you on this journey. Please have a look below for what we currently have in stock.
